7-day Moroccan desert tour – departure from Agadir, journey to southern Morocco, discovery of the Moroccan desert and the Sahara. This 7-day desert circuit begins in Agadir, with an early morning departure towards Ouarzazate, known as the "Hollywood of Africa." On the way, there is a lunch break in Taznakht, famous for its Berber carpets and traditional craftsmanship. Then, continue to the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site. A guided tour of the site is scheduled before arriving in Ouarzazate at the end of the day. Overnight at the hotel.
Our Moroccan desert tour continues towards the Todra Gorges, passing through the Dades Valley, the Rose Valley, and the Skoura Oasis. After a morning in the Merzouga desert, we head towards Agdz, passing through Rissani and Anif, with a lunch break in Nkob. Along the way, we visit the Draa Valley and the Kasbah of Tamnougalt. We arrive in Agdz at the end of the day for the night.
The Moroccan desert tour continues from Agdz to Mhamid, the gateway to the Sahara. Along the way, we take a walk to visit the Kasbah of Oulad Othmane and explore the site of prehistoric engravings at Chenna. After lunch in Zagora, we discover Tamgroute, famous for its traditional pottery, before arriving in Mhamid, where we spend the night in a bivouac in the heart of the desert.
The Moroccan desert circuit continues along an old Paris-Dakar route towards Erg Chegaga, a region famous for its gigantic dunes. You will have the opportunity to explore the dunes and practice sandboarding on the sandy hills. Overnight in a comfortable bivouac in the desert.
On the final day of the Moroccan desert circuit, departing from Agadir, we begin early in the morning from Chegaga. We traverse the sandy track towards Agadir, passing by the dried Iriki Lake and the villages of Forum Zguid, Taznakht, and Taliouine. We arrive in Agadir at the end of the day, concluding this 7-day journey through the Moroccan desert, with unforgettable memories of this unique adventure.
